We are all facilitators in various aspects our lives, from family dynamics to the workplace.
In our role as facilitators, our goal is to harness the dynamic forces within the group in an effort to spur creativity, cohesion, and productivity.
Often enough, within groups, we encounter ‘disturbing forces’, tension, opposing views, inconvenient feelings. We will often stick to the agenda like glue, avoiding this discomfort, maybe plowing through or trying to ignore the disturbing forces. But what if you could use the disturbing force for the good of the whole team?
Mindful Facilitation is about setting aside the demand for a particular outcome, and observing the impact of the present moment. It’s about engaging in the process before you, not the process you think or hope should happen.
It’s about holding the unknown and embracing the potential unease that can occur as we stay present with the unfolding moment.
How can you effect change in unproductive group dynamics? And create a cohesive, engaged process that helps you move toward your goals?
Mindful Facilitation is a one day dynamic workshop that explores the following touchstones:
—Throw the Agenda Away
—Responding vs. Reacting
—The Process is the Outcome
—Stop Trying to “FIX”
—Creating a Productive Space
—Embrace the Unknown
—Tracking Yourself, Others and the Group
—Empowering Others
— And More…
The reward of this engaging class is the creation of effective team dynamics.
Enjoy motivated, productive team members/students/coworkers and use the energy of the disturbing force to gain new insight into your groups.
